Take action
What can I do about Bullies?
When you are bullied you may think there is nothing that will help make the bullying stop, especially if the bully threatens you.
You may also think that if you tell someone about the bullying you will be called a wuss or a dobber and then the bullying could get worse.
The thought of bullying getting worse can sometimes stop people from doing anything about it.
DOING NOTHING usually means the BULLYING continues. That’s why it is important that we TAKE ACTION to STOP BULLYING.
Here are the things you can do about bullying...
Talk to the bully.
Tell the bully you don't like what is happening and you want it to stop.
*[To use this tip you need to be feeling confident]
When you can see that bullying could start, walk away from the situation. If this is not possible make sure you are not alone, try to get a friend to be with you. It will feel safer.

1. Talk to the person being bullied.
- Find out what has happened, how they are feeling, ask if they need help.

Don't keep bullying a secret, tell someone.
People can't read your thoughts or feelings.
If you have tried dealing with the bully on your own but it hasn't worked then you need to talk to someone you can trust. Tell the person what has happened and what you've done to help stop the bullying. Talking to someone can lighten your load plus the person may give you some more ideas about how to deal with the bullying.
