Stress and the way you think

Stress can make changes to our thoughts.

Stress can make a person THINK either POSITIVE or NEGATIVE thoughts.

These cartoons show positive and negative thinking.

Event: Before a maths test

positive thinking

I’ve studied hard for the test. I’ll do my best and that’s what counts!

negative thinking

I’m no good at maths. I’m going to fail!

Event: Best friend moves schools

positive thinking

I know I will miss Jenny, but we will still be friends!

negative thinking

I’ll miss Jenny so much. I’ve got no friends now!
