Style 1: Clash attack

This is when people attack each other. It can be a physical attack eg fighting - pushing, hitting, kicking or a verbal attack eg. name calling, teasing, shouting or swearing.

Clash Attack!

The people involved in the conflict do not listen to each other and are not willing to see the other person’s point of view. When we use Clash Attack we usually have angry or upset types of feelings.

We can feel all fired up and very angry, or we can feel hurt (in pain) and sad and sorry for yourself, (no one likes me).

In a Clash Attack the problem doesn’t get better, in fact it can get worse or even create new problems.

Worksheet – Me and a CLASH ATTACK

What to do: Think about a time when you responded to conflict in this way.

  • What was the CONFLICT?
  • What did you DO?
  • How did you FEEL?
  • What were you THINKING?

Here are some ideas for different ways to record your story.

  • write about it,
  • draw one scene that tells it all,
  • design a cartoon strip,
  • make a collage of magazine cut outs
