Tune in to your feelings

Sometimes we get the message that it's not OK to feel angry, sad, lonely or scared.

This is not true.

It is OK to feel these sorts of feelings when we are in a conflict or stressful situation, it's a natural response.

The important point is that you need to

TUNE IN to your feelings because they are telling you something.

When you feel angry or upset, it is a message that you need to:
Take action to change the feelings to happy ones.

You can do this by following the Problem Solving Steps.

Working out a problem...can help feelings change from angry, upset, lonely or scared to happy, peaceful or positive. People are able to move on with their life.

When people are unable to solve a problem, it may get bigger and this can mean that people stay feeling angry, upset, sad, lonely or scared for a long time and this can stop us from getting the most out of life.

This can affect our mental health.

Being tuned into your feelings is very good for your mental health, so switch on and tune in. So the important message here is to tune into your feelings, because they are telling you something.

Why don't you try our Feelings Word Find game.
